Government of India is taking initiative to STOP getting calls from unknown numbers

The Indian government is taking a new initiative. According to the reports, when the service enabled, no customer will receive calls from unknown numbers.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is working on a new framework. Through this, if any phone comes to the phone recipients, its name will definitely appear on the screen. In case someone has that number saved in the phone, his name will appear on the screen of the phone.

According to the news agency PTI, TRAI is going to launch the system very soon. This will reveal the KYC based name on the screen of your mobile device. Currently, there are several apps like TrueCaller, through which it is possible to know the name even if the call comes from an unknown number.

According to PTI sources, TRAI chairman PD Vaghela said that TRAI has been working on this issue for a long time. "We have found a way" he said. For this to work, it is mandatory for telecom companies to submit KYC related documents as per DOT norm. As a result, if you call from that number, that name will appear on the screen of the phone.

It is claimed that once this system is introduced, transparency will be maintained in case of calling networks. The government wants to reduce the number of spam calls through this service. According to experts, the introduction of this KYC based process will benefit phone users in many cases. The number of different types of frauds will be less as well as avoiding spam calls.
